I was hunting for a terrasse and some wine to enjoy Memorial Day with my visiting friend Alison. We eventually found the terrasse and wine, but on the way, we stopped for some murals. I'm still looking for great street art out there, let me know if anyone sees something that I should check out.

Montreal Murals- The Plateau
I was hunting for a terrasse and some wine to enjoy Memorial Day with my visiting friend Alison. We eventually found the terrasse and wine, but on the way, we stopped for some murals. I'm still looking for great street art out there, let me know if anyone sees something that I should check out.

Bad Dreams
Sometimes you have a moment of insecurity, whether it's your work, relationships, finances or general place in the world. Often my solution is to have an activity that helps me work out these insecurities. Usually it's running, or taking along walk somewhere. In light of the good weather in Montreal lately, I will be listening to what that anxious feeling I had earlier was telling me: go run.

Montreal Grafitti - Monkland Village
I was walking around Monkland Village in NDG in my completely unstandard 10 mile walk for the day and finally got to see this up close. I'm a huge sucker for street art and am finally getting in the habit of actually documenting more and more of what I see.
The geek inside of me loves Mario. The part of me that wishes I could draw like this just wishes I wasn't such a suburban valley girl.

Setting the correct tone
This blog was born out of me simply posting too much to twitter. Seriously. I think having 13 updates in 30 minutes was verging on too much. I was also not getting outside of my apartment, which is fine in the winter, but it's springtime in Montreal and I live in a basement. It's just not appropriate any longer. Whenever I hear this song, it gets me motivated to get moving.
Who says that fine artists can't get crunk?

Beginning at the well..beginning
There are a myriad of goals that I have for this blog. I think I wanted something lofty and ever reaching, or maybe just really fucking cool. Unfortunately, I am rather geeky, introverted, spastic and kinda nebulous. I will have to deal with being that way and being like that in this blog.
